Arrangement library and snapshots
When to use this
Use this page when you want to understand the difference between reusable library arrangements and live event arrangements.
Library templates
Library arrangements act as reusable recipes for bouquets, centerpieces, and other repeatable work. They store the structure, ingredient list, labor, and markup defaults your team wants to reuse.
Event arrangements
When you add a library template to an event option, BloomBoard creates an event-specific arrangement rather than leaving it linked as a live template. That event arrangement can then:
- hold event quantity and notes
- carry current pricing snapshots
- support purchase and rental item behavior
- be refined without changing the original library template
Why snapshot pricing exists
Snapshot fields preserve the item details and costs that were true when the arrangement was added to the event. That protects live commercial work from quiet changes in the catalog.
What this means in practice
- Your library is the reusable starting point.
- Your event arrangement is the commercial record for that job.
- If costs or dates change later, review the event arrangement before sending a quote.
Snapshot pricing is a feature, not a bug. It helps the event keep a stable pricing history even while your master catalog keeps evolving.
