Why is my subscription blocking access?

Start with the current subscription state

Access can change if the subscription is new, past due, cancelled, or expired. The first step is to confirm which state the account is actually in.

Common patterns

  • none: the account has not completed subscription setup yet
  • past due: payment failed and the account is in grace period
  • cancelled: the subscription has been cancelled and may be nearing the end of the current term
  • expired: access has ended and reactivation is needed

What to do next

  1. Confirm whether the account still has grace-period access.
  2. Resolve the payment issue or restart the subscription flow.
  3. Sign in again if the app needs to refresh access context after the billing change.

Billing access issues can look like login issues, but they are not always the same problem. Check subscription state before retrying sign-in repeatedly.
