Why did my price import not change an item?

The most likely causes

• The line was skipped at review. Only lines you applied change prices. Open the import in Import history and check its details: each line’s decision is recorded there.
• The line never matched. Unmatched lines do nothing unless you matched them by hand or created a new item from them during review.
• A guardrail held it back. Lines with a missing price, a currency that does not match yours, or a unit change are flagged rather than silently applied. They stay put until you resolve the flag.
• The import is still processing. An import that has not reached review yet has changed nothing; the resume banner takes you back to it.
• A name that already exists is not created again. Where the imported name matches a variety or type already in your Library, the price updates that one, using its own pack size rather than the pack on the supplier’s line. The item you were watching may have been left alone while its twin was repriced.
• The price changed, but the usual supplier did not. An import sets the Usual supplier only on the new items it creates. Items already in your library keep their usual supplier. Change it on the item if you need to.

What to check first

1. Open Library → Import history and find the import.
2. Open its details: the before-and-after deltas show exactly what was applied.
3. If the item is genuinely wrong, edit it directly or re-run the import with the line corrected.
4. For a flower, compare Bought as, Price and Stem price in the review with the item in the Library. A bunch price on an item measured by the stem is divided by the stems in a bunch, so “$70.00 a bunch” of 25 shows as “$2.80 a stem”.

After a revert

Reverting an applied import restores the prices it changed, with two deliberate exceptions: items the import created stay in the library, and any line whose price you changed again after the import is left alone rather than overwritten.
