Custom branding

When to use this

Use this page to understand what custom branding changes for your clients, what it needs from you, and what happens if you switch it off or change plans. Custom branding is part of the Studio plan.

What your clients see

With custom branding on, the pages and messages your clients receive carry your studio’s identity instead of BloomBoard’s:

  • Proposal, invoice, and brief pages use your colors, your logo, and your favicon in the browser tab.
  • Emails open with your logo or your studio name, close with your own footer line, and arrive from your studio’s name — with no “via BloomBoard” alongside it.
  • Link previews in WhatsApp, iMessage, and similar apps show your studio name and your own preview image instead of BloomBoard’s. Preview images display as a wide 1200×630 card. When you upload your own, a crop step lets you choose exactly which part of the image shows, and the live preview on the settings page shows the same crop chats will use.
  • With your own web address connected, new links your clients receive live on a domain like proposals.your-studio.com instead of app.bloomboard.io.

A few things stay as they are, by design: the email address itself still ends in bloomboard.io (the sender name is yours), and payment screens rendered by your payment provider keep the provider’s own look.

Where it lives

Go to Settings → Branding. The page has two tabs:

  • Brand kit — your logo, brand colors, and business website. These apply to your rendered documents on every plan.
  • What clients see — the Studio-plan surfaces: the master switch, email styling, favicon and link-preview image, your own domain, and a live preview of each client-facing surface as you edit.

Only account admins can manage branding. The master switch is Remove BloomBoard branding — nothing changes for clients until an admin turns it on.

Sent documents never change

Branding applies to the pages and emails you send from now on. Anything a client already received stays exactly as they received it — an accepted proposal, its totals, and its PDF are sealed. Existing links a client already holds keep working; the page they open simply wears your branding from now on.

If you downgrade or switch it off

Your configuration is never thrown away:

  • Switching Remove BloomBoard branding off returns client pages to the default look. Every link keeps working.
  • Moving off the Studio plan puts your branding to sleep. Everything you set up is saved, and it switches back on the moment you upgrade again.
  • A connected domain keeps serving links your clients already hold even while branding is dormant, as long as your DNS records stay in place.

Common questions

  • Do I need my own domain? No. Branding works fully on the default app.bloomboard.io address; the domain is an optional extra step.
  • Can clients tell it’s BloomBoard? The product chrome your clients see is yours. The two visible exceptions are the sending email address and payment-provider screens, noted above.
  • Does branding change my PDFs? Your documents already carry your brand kit (logo, colors) on every plan. Custom branding is about the pages, emails, and links around them.
