Can I use BloomBoard on my phone?

What you can do on a phone

Yes. Sign in to BloomBoard in your phone’s browser and the whole studio opens: the events board, your event pages, the Inbox, the Library and your settings. You can also sign up and finish the setup wizard on a phone.

Tap the menu button at the top right to move between pages.

A few things work a little differently on a phone:

  • Notes about your email, your trial or your plan show as one short line at the top of the screen. Tap the X to hide one.
  • On the Events page you see one stage at a time. Tap a stage at the top, or swipe the list left or right to go to the next stage.
  • Inside an event, the tabs under the event’s name are its views: Proposal, Production, Week-of, Finances and Email. When automations are on, Email is called Client. Tap the event’s name to change its date or venue.
  • When you scroll down an event, its name folds away and only the tabs stay. Scroll back up, or tap the tab you are on, to see it again. When you change tabs, the page does not jump back to the top.
  • The assistant button sits in the bottom-right corner, and pages leave room for it at the bottom. It steps aside while you send a proposal, an invoice or a reminder, and while a sheet or window is open.
  • In Tutorials, the Start here tasks have no Show me button on a phone. Tap a task to play its lesson or go to its page.

When a bigger screen helps

A few editors are preview only on a phone. They show the note Best on a larger screen. You can look at your work there, but you make changes on a laptop or tablet:

  • the design studio for proposals, and your design presets
  • Terms Studio
  • the client brief and form editors

In the design studio you can still share the proposal, download the PDF and go to Send to client. Your account is the same on every device, so you can start on your phone and finish on your laptop.

Things that can look like a problem

  • A note says the mobile app is still in the oven: older versions of BloomBoard showed this note on phones. Reload the page and the full app opens.
  • An older sign-in link email: a sign-in link works once and expires 24 hours after it was sent. If it has expired, sign in with your password.
  • Client pages: proposal, invoice, enquiry and week-of team links are for your clients and helpers. They work on phones as before.
