Why is a Smart feature asking me to verify my email?
The short answer
While an account is on its trial and the email address is unverified, the Smart features that spend resources, such as generating item images or building recipes from a description, ask you to verify first. Everything else keeps working.
What to do
- Find the verification email that arrived when you registered, and follow its link.
- Cannot find it? The dialog and the banner at the top of the dashboard both offer a resend, with a short cooldown between sends.
- Check spam if it still does not arrive, then try the resend once the cooldown passes.
Once verified, run the same action again and it will go through.
A separate limit to know about
Image generation also has a monthly allowance. If you have verified your email and the generate button is disabled saying the limit is reached, that is the allowance rather than verification; it resets with your billing period.
