Why can’t I send or download my proposal?
The short answer
Before a proposal goes out, BloomBoard checks that the document will print correctly and that there is something to send. When a check fails, the send waits and a message says why. Find the message below.
What each message means
| What you see | What to do |
|---|---|
| Could not measure the final PDF page plan. Try again before sending. | Wait a minute and send again. Nothing in the proposal needs changing. If it keeps happening, contact support. |
| PDF generation is blocked by a system issue. | Run the checks again, then send. If it keeps happening, contact support. |
| Fix the required proposal item before sending | Open the proposal’s design, open Checks, and fix each item it lists. See Design your documents. |
| The cover title is too long for the cover page | Shorten the title on the cover, or the event name if the cover shows it. |
| Some text runs past the edge of a page you added | Shorten the text, or make its box wider or move it. |
| An empty photo spot on a page you added | Add the photo, or remove the photo spot. |
| This design is no longer available | Pick a design in the design studio’s templates. |
| Cannot send while Smart-fill is in progress. | Wait for Smart-fill to finish, or cancel it, then send. |
| The client has no email address | Add an email to the client’s primary contact, or send the proposal by link instead. See Create and send a proposal. |
| Nothing priced on the proposal | Add an arrangement, a hire item or a service first. A proposal needs at least one priced line. |
| A download or a production pack shows “Failed to fetch” | Check your connection and try again. A large pack takes longer. See Export documents and packs. |
Ask the assistant
Ask the assistant “why won’t my proposal send?”. It reads the proposal’s checks and names each thing that stops the send, with its fix.
