FeaturesPlanner commission

Add a hidden planner commission

When to use this

Many planners work on a commission — often around 10% of the proposal. Your client should see one clean price, you should keep working with your own numbers, and you should always know exactly what you owe the planner. Planner commission does all three: it quietly adds the percentage to client-facing prices without ever showing it as a line item.

Turn it on

Open the pricing rules

On the proposal board, open the summary rail’s menu and choose Edit pricing rules, then pick the Commission tab.

Set the percentage and what it applies to

Enter the rate you agreed with the planner — for example 10 — and choose what it applies to under Applies to: your arrangements, rentals, arrangements and rentals together, or the whole proposal. The preview below shows the client’s new subtotal, tax, and total, plus the Commission included amount you’ll owe the planner.

Choose rounding (optional)

Marked-up prices can look uneven (a €185 arrangement becomes €203.50). Switch Round prices to the nearest whole unit if you prefer prices like €204. Rounding never reduces a price below your own.

Save

From now on this proposal shows marked-up prices to the client and your own prices to you.

What changes — and what doesn’t

  • Your board doesn’t change. Every price you see on the board is still your own. A “+10% planner commission” badge on the summary rail reminds you the markup is active, and each section the commission applies to shows a small “Client pays this + 10% commission” note under its total — so you can always tell which sections’ numbers gain the commission in the client’s copy. Click the note to jump back to the Commission tab.
  • The client sees marked-up prices on the proposal page, the PDF, and any invoice — with no mention of a commission anywhere. That’s the point.
  • Client preview shows the client’s numbers. Use the Client view pane or the design studio to see exactly what they’ll see; a small note in the toolbar confirms the commission is included.
  • “Commission included” on the summary rail is the amount you owe the planner. Your “You keep” and margin figures already exclude it, on the board and in your finance reports.

Changing what it covers

The commission covers whatever you chose under Applies to — change it any time from the same tab and the client totals update immediately. Prices outside the scope (for example delivery fees when the scope is “Arrangements + rentals”) reach the client exactly as you set them.

Sent proposals and revisions

A sent proposal is a record of what your client saw, so its prices — and the commission inside them — are frozen. To change the rate after sending, create a revision: the new rate applies to every included line in the draft, and nothing changes for your client until you send it.

Deposits: percentage-based payment milestones scale with the client’s new total automatically. A fixed deposit amount stays exactly as you set it, and the remaining balance absorbs the difference.
